Join your kilted guide and travel to nearby Peggy's Cove - an artists’ and explorers’ paradise for well over 150 years. This famed village on the rugged Atlantic Shoreline stands on solid rock above the crashing surf. The coastline is famous for pirates, shipwrecks and one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. There will be plenty of time for exploring this unique area, and for those who wish, your kilted guide will take you on a walking tour of the moody cove and village.

Return to Halifax for an overview of the city which will introduce you to one of North America’s most unique and captivating destinations. Hear of the days of privateering, Halifax during the war years, the Titanic Connection, and the exploits and heroism of the citizens that lived through the devastating Halifax Explosion in 1917.  Also visit Citadel National Historic Site featuring re-enactors of the famed 78th (Highlanders) Regiment of Foot to learn of the origins of the city.
